Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 August 2026

midgame is a board and puzzle game app. This policy describes exactly what it collects, why, who it goes to, and how to get rid of it. It is written from the app's actual source code, which is public at github.com/RaptoR-Soft/midgame.

The short version. To play, you need an account, so we store an identifier for you, the games you finish, and your scores. We use Google Firebase for all of it. We do not sell your data, we show no adverts, and there are no third-party trackers. You can delete everything at any time from inside the app or via this page.

Who is responsible

midgame is operated by RaptoR-Soft. For any privacy question or request, email amirreza.moghassemi@gmail.com.

What is collected

Account information

DataWhenWhy
Email address If you sign up with email, or sign in with Google To identify your account and let you sign back in
Display name and profile picture If you sign in with Google Shown on your profile and on leaderboards
A generated username On account creation Identifies you publicly on leaderboards
Account identifier Always, including guest accounts Links your games and scores to you

You can play as a guest. A guest account has an identifier but no email, name or picture.

Gameplay

For each game you start we store the game, its difficulty, whether it was finished, won or abandoned, your final score, and when it was played. From finished games we keep a per-game leaderboard row: games played, games won, and best score.

When you search for a random opponent, a short-lived matchmaking ticket stores the game, mode, whether the search is ranked or casual, the app engine version, when the search started and was last active, and the id of the match it produced. The ticket is kept only until your next search or the daily cleanup, and is deleted with your account.

Diagnostics

If the app crashes or hits an error, a report is sent through Google Crashlytics (on Android) or logged as an anonymous analytics event (on the web). Reports contain the error, where it happened, and basic device information such as model and operating system version. Google Analytics for Firebase also records general usage — app opens, screen views, the country you are in, and device type. This is used to find bugs and see which games get played.

Notifications

On Android the app asks permission to send notifications. If you allow it, Google assigns your installation a messaging token, which is stored against your account so we can send match notifications. It is removed when you delete your account, when the device registers it to another account, or after 60 days without a refresh. It is also removed on sign-out when the device is online. Declining changes nothing else about the app.

Stored only on your device

Your theme choice, whether sound is on, a short list of scores waiting to be submitted, and the locally remembered previous messaging token are kept on your device. The previous token may be sent to Firebase when the app refreshes its registered messaging token.

What is never collected

The Android app requests internet access and, if you enable notifications, notification permission.

Who it is shared with

Your data is not sold, and not shared with advertisers. It is processed by Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging — acting as our data processor. See Firebase's privacy documentation. If you sign in with Google, that sign-in is handled by Google under their privacy policy.

Data may be processed on Google servers outside your country.

What other players can see

Leaderboards are public within the app. Other players can see your username, games played, games won and best score. Your email address is never shown to other players.

How long it is kept

Account, gameplay and leaderboard data is kept until you delete your account, at which point it is removed. Crash and analytics data is retained by Google on their own schedule and is not linked to your account name.

Deleting your data

In the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, every game you have played, your leaderboard entries and your place in the public rankings, your ranked match history and recorded duel results, and your sign-in credentials. Any multiplayer match you are still in is also ended — an open match is cancelled, and an active one counts as a forfeit for your opponent — and your id is removed from your opponents' match records.

Without the app, or if you cannot sign in, follow the instructions at midgame account deletion.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to processing. Email amirreza.moghassemi@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. Deletion is available immediately in the app without needing to contact anyone.

Children

midgame is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change and the updated version will be posted here before the change takes effect.
